Cornell's Chi Psi fraternity gets shut down for a minimum of three years
On Friday, May 2nd Cornell officially “shut down” the Chi Psi fraternity for a minimum of three years due to multiple accounts of hazing incidents. Chi Psi was previously placed on probation in June 2013 after other reports of hazing that induced physical and psychological damage to members. This past March, the chapter’s activities were deferred as another round of allegations concerning severe hazing were reported. The chapter house will be closed at the end of the spring semester.
