A Lansing home off Myers Lane caught fire yesterday and suffered severe smoke damage. The laundry room and kitchen were completely destroyed by flames, as a propane-fueled clothes dryer was cited as the cause of the blaze. The flames were extinguished in 20 minutes, and firefighters remained on the scene for the next two hours. The two homeowners made it out alive with no serious injuries. The woman was sent to Cayuga Medical Center to be treated for smoke inhalation.
