Former CU president Dale Corson dies
In your local news, Cornell University’s eighth president, Dale Corson, died of congestive heart failure Saturday morning at age 97.
Corson served as a physics professor until 1969, when he took the reins as university president. Corson, who was known for his stable leadership, steered Cornell through the turmoil of the ‘70s until the end of his presidency in 1977.
