Jeffrey Shipman, an upstate New York father pleaded not guilty to kidnapping his own daughter after FBI found his daughter in Thailand, she had been missing for 5 years.
Jeffrey Shipman, A non-custodial father accused of kidnapping his daughter pleaded not guilty of any charge of international parental kidnapping in the Syracuse Federal Court Wednesday. About 5 years ago his daughter Deonna Shipman went missing and a month ago Deonna was found by FBI in Thailand. Authorities believe Shipman acted out because of his loss of custody over Deonna and fled to another country with her 5 years ago. If Shipman is convicted he can be charged to a three year prison sentence and a 250,000 dollar fine.
