Yikes! Google Calendar is down worldwide, about one hour after Google boasts about it [RESOLVED]

You may have noticed that our own calendars, as well as any other website or app that uses Google Calendar, are down. As of 10:00:20AM [EST], Google Calendar appears to be experiencing an outage.

This comes about one hour after Google tweets about the effectiveness of the calendar at scheduling (see below):

Google released a statement to their status dashboard (Source: Gizmodo), declaring that they were investigating the issue as of 10:22:00AM [EST] and would inform the public when things are up and running again.

[UPDATE] As of 11:40AM EST, the issue has been upgraded to a service outage. More updates by 12:40PM EST.

[UPDATE] As of 12:40PM EST, the team expects to resolve the issue by 1:40PM EST. During this time frame, our normal schedule feed on the Home and Schedule pages may go in and out of service, but our events page is now under control. We apologize for the inconvenience - please know that we are doing all we can to rectify the issue and that it is largely out of our control. All of our specialty shows are in scheduled order, all other unaccounted for time slots are regular Alternative programming from us. More updates will be issued by Google via the status dashboard.

[UPDATE] As of 1:13PM EST, the issue has been resolved. We appreciate your patience and apologize for any frustration this may have caused.

In the meantime, here is the WVBR Program for the rest of today:

Until 1:00PM - Midday Alternative Rock

1:00PM - 4:00PM - Afternoon Alternative

4:00PM - 7:00PM - Afternoon Drive on WVBR

-> 4:35PM - 14850 Dining Report
