Tompkins County area will have its hand in the state senate race for the 51st New York State Senate District. Republican State Senator James L. Seward has held the position since 1987, but Joyce St. George will contest for the position as the Democratic Party and Women’s Equality Party candidate. She was able to join WVBR News for a phone interview.
