Three years after the release of Tame Impala's Currents fans are hungry for new music from Kevin Parker's psychedelic pop project. Even the artist himself can't seem to wait, claiming he would like some new songs to add to his setlists when playing live. However, fans will have to wait until the album is recorded and released before hearing anything from it. In an interview with Matt Wilkinson, Parker explained, "I like that the first time people hear it is the kind of the recorded glory … like the premeditated thing that I’ve spent two years on, rather than being half drunk bashing it out on stage, hitting clanger notes.”

Recently, Parker has worked on collaborations with Mark Ronson, SZA, Travis Scott and even spent time in the studio with Kanye West. A snippet from the SZA, Parker collaboration, "Back Together" is available on youtube.

So when will the album be here? Parker said he would like something out by next summer. Seems like a long time, but it's definitely worth the wait.
