ITHACA—Tompkins County Public Library is pleased to offer a workshop in the basics of LinkedIn, Tuesday, August 13, from 2:30 to 4:00 pm, in the Library’s Digital Lab. Instructional Designer Lauren Haas will lead this workshop on the basics of LinkedIn, the business and employment-centered social networking website. Those in attendance will learn how to create an account, how to use best practices when maintaining a profile, and how to utilize tools to create connections with other professionals. Participants are expected to be experienced with using the basic tools of the Windows 10 operating system; using a keyboard and mouse; and accessing, importing, and saving files.
