Join Historic Ithaca for Ithaca City Cemetery Cleanup

Did you miss our September Ithaca City Cemetery cleanup? There's another opportunity to help out in October.

Join our dedicated volunteers on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in multiple cleaning projects. We’ll be beautifying the cemetery by picking up trash, clearing brush, and cleaning headstones. Through these projects, participants learn the sympathetic use and understanding of Ithaca’s oldest burial ground. Meet at the shed just above the burial vaults.

Some helpful tips: Wear closed-toe shoes. Bring bug spray, sunscreen, and bottled water. Work gloves are a good idea as well. All ages are welcome.

For more information about the cleanup, visit our Facebook event page.

RSVP to Christine O’Malley at Historic Ithaca, (607) 273-6633, or christine@historicithaca.org, if you are able to attend.
