Ithaca YMCA Annual Scholarship Fund Drive

During this holiday season, the Ithaca YMCA wants to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of our YMCA and together apreciate the accomplishments we have made during the last year.  With the economy and future uncertain for so many, it is important that we do our part to provide and strengthen our agency’s service through support.  Now is the time to concentrate on supporting families and making an impact on our community. Last year, we provided scholarships for 2,488 children, families, and individuals at a value of $168,000. Every day, the Y addresses the most pressing needs in our community by making sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. The Ithaca Y uses financial gifts to help individuals and families in need to participate in programs such as before and after school, youth sports, health and wellness, swim lessons, summer camp, senior fit classes, and many more. The Ithaca Y is immersed in a determined, proactive campaign to prepare for the next year of financial requests.  We need to be able to meet the requirements of someone like Mike who continues to recover from a critical accident through regular physical training with a Y trainer, and is now walking and driving.  As another example, Beth, who practiced basketball skills rigorously, and through empathetic coaching techniques in Y youth sports, she was accepted to play on her school team for the first time.   These funds serve our community.  When you give to the Y, you help welcome and strengthen our community and move us all forward.  We are the leading non-profit charity organization in our community that leads the charge for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Y will utilize your gift to make a meaningful impact right in your own neighborhood. Please consider an essential, meaningful gift this year, and help us continue to assist those in need to create a larger impact on the community.  Even the smallest gift goes a long way.  Please contact Frank Towner soon to discuss your level of support and see how it will make a difference in someone’s life at ftowner@ithacaymca.com, or ithacaymca.com.
