Children Learn Financial Skills at Special Storytime at TCPL

ITHACA—Tompkins County Public Library, in partnership with Cornell Cooperative Extension, will offer a special storytime, “Money as You Grow,” Thursday, August 8, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, in the Library’s Thaler/Howell Programming Room. At this financial education focused storytime cosponsored by Cornell Cooperative Extension and presented by Kenneth McLaurin, Jr., children’s books will be used to help families learn and discuss new financial skills. Families will learn key money concepts through reading, playing, and talking with each other. Kenneth McLaurin, Jr. is a Financial Management Educator at Cornell Cooperative Extension as well as a well-known local comedian and performer.
