All-new location for 2019 Dump & Run Sale

Cornell's Dump & Run program collects items from students leaving campus in May, and resells them to students moving in each August. In addition to diverting tons of reusable items from the waste stream, the annual Dump & Run sale raises money each year for local charitable organizations.

This year, for the first time, the August sale is being held at the Shops at Ithaca Mall! The sale is on Opening Weekend (August 23-25) and the following weekend (August 31 - September 1). See directions below.

The final day of the sale, Sunday, September 1, features the $10 bag sale! An entire bag full of whatever you pick is just $10 on the last day of Dump & Run.

Last year, we raised $55,000 for our local non-profits, with more than $475,000 distributed to community partners since 2003.

We routinely have clothing and shoes, furniture and organizational units, appliances and electronics, storage and household items, decorations and toys, sporting goods, toiletries and kitchenware, books, and countless Cornell items for sale.

Last year, this important project diverted 30 tons of items and materials from the landfills where they would otherwise have ended up, and more than 3,000 volunteer hours were dedicated to making it all happen. As just one example, 150 minifridges were sold in 2018, not to mention countless tons of clothing, household items, school supplies, and furniture.

Find the Shops at Ithaca Mall by taking Pleasant Grove Road north from Cornell's North Campus, turning left onto Hanshaw Road, turning right onto North Triphammer Road, continuing over the Route 13 overpass, and turning left into the mall. (You can set your GPS to 40 Catherwood Road.) Enter the Dump & Run sale through the mall's Café Square food court!
