TCPL Invites Tweens to a Board Game Club

ITHACA—Tompkins County Public Library invites tweens to participate in a Board Game Club, Mondays, January 20, February 3 and 17, March 2, 16, and 30, and April 6 and 20, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm in the Library’s BorgWarner Community Room West.

At this program, tweens ages 8 to 12 will explore and learn new board games each week with Mike Timonin, local board game aficionado. Various games are available for participants to try, both for larger groups and two players. Puzzles are also available. Tweens will learn strategic thinking skills and have fun at the same time. Interested tweens can drop in at any time.

Michael Timonin has an advanced degree in US History, and experience teaching students at many levels. He enjoys board games and thinks they offer a way to teach life skills in a fun, low-stakes way.

No registration is required for this free, drop-in series.
