Call For Applicants: ‘Elevate Elmira Entrepreneurs’ 2020

Informative & Valuable Program for Entrepreneurs Looking to Meet Their Goals

[ELMIRA, NY] Applications are now being accepted for a free ten-week entrepreneur education, mentoring, and networking program that includes two years of Chamber membership.

Elevate Elmira Entrepreneurs is a program for entrepreneurs benefiting the City of Elmira. The goal of this program is to help individuals with businesses find their career pathways to success by giving them the benefits of Chamber membership, providing classes taught by experts on vital business topics, and introducing them to mentors who can help them along the way.

Topics covered include business planning, human resources, marketing, financing, project management, customer service, community involvement, and much more. In addition to the ten sessions, and being paired with a mentor, participants will also receive a two-year Chemung Chamber membership, which includes being able to attend exclusive Chamber events and educational programs at no cost during this time.

This program is provided courtesy of the Empire State Poverty Reduction Initiative (ESPRI) and the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce. “ESPRI is a momentous effort initiated by New York State to positively impact communities facing poverty issues,” said Kamala Keeley, President and CEO of the Chemung County Chamber of Commerce. “The Chamber and its partners launched Elevate Elmira in 2019; because the program was very successful, we’ve received funding for another round in 2020. We’re thrilled to offer such a beneficial program to our community.”

To qualify, you must be an individual with an in-home or storefront business that impacts City of Elmira census tracts 6, 7, or 10. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, March 18. To learn more and apply today, please visit www.chemungchamber.org/elevate-elmira-entrepreneurs or contact Dusty Hewit, Elevate Elmira Facilitator, at dusty@chemungchamber.org or call the Chamber at (607) 734-5137.
