I am a Communication major, Theatre minor from Los Angeles, CA. I served as News Director during the 2018-2019 year, restarting the news department following a two-year hiatus. My focus as General Manager will be leading the station with a versatile-thinking mindset, creating solutions that will converge the right ideas from different departments to adjust to our clients’ needs and market demands. I am grateful for this opportunity to represent Cornell Media Guild and work with the creative minds of our 2019-2020 executive team.
I am majoring in Industrial and Labor Relations and I have an enormous affinity for all things music, radio, or artist related. The allure first began as an aspiration of becoming an artist upon attending my first concert with my parents and two sisters. It was not long after that I came to terms with the fact that I should probably keep my singing abilities to myself. Several years later, however, CMG helped me recognize that without artist development, promotion and marketing the world would not know nor have access to the talent and music. I am humbled to serve as the President of WVBR and am excited about the impact and involvement it enables me to have on the organization.

Looking forward to being more involved in the guild!
Garrett Beck is in the Hotel School. Coming from a rural suburb outside of Baltimore, Garrett began playing guitar in 6th grade and has been building his love of music since, moving on to music production and songwriting in recent years. Garrett has also maintained a strong passion for business, finance and sales in particular, for many years and is extremely excited to apply his interests in music and business to his position as Treasurer. Aside from his zeal for music and business, Garrett is a Midshipman in Cornell’s Naval ROTC program and will serve as an officer in the United States Navy upon graduation.

Hello! I am majoring in Communication and minoring in Film. I was born and raised in Long Island, New York. Since my first semester at Cornell I have enjoyed being involved at CMG and WVBR. After working the summer of 2019 in the Business Development Department of an Emmy Award-winning Entertainment Group that operates out of NYC I was excited to apply my newfound skills at the station. As originally put by Mary Kay Ash, “Pretend that every single person you meet has a sign around his or her neck that says, ‘Make me feel important.’ Not only will you succeed in sales, you will succeed in life.”

I hosted two shows on CornellRadio.com in fall of 2018 and I thought it was super dope so I was like, "I'll be the CornellRadio.com director." When asked, my friends would describe me as "tall," "bad at bass guitar," and "goal-oriented." I want to work in the digital media industry and I'm studying English and business. Definitely check out all the great radio shows on CornellRadio.com!!!
I am currently a Human Development major in the College of Human Ecology. My interests include psychology, international relations, anthropology, and music (especially Hip Hop). Hello there! My name is Eli, and I'm a rising senior in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences as an Animal Science major and Environmental Sciences and Sustainability minor. I'm so excited to work alongside this amazing executive board and our faithful music team. On campus, I'm a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority and a Mann Library Circulation Desk Worker. I'm originally from Long Island, New York but Ithaca has become a second home. Stay tuned for the freshest sound in Ithaca.
I am a Student at Cornell Engineering. I have worked in technical positions within media companies/organizations/clubs since the age of 15. I am a Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program alumna, which is what inspired me to come to Cornell for Engineering. As both News and Web Director, my primary goal is to innovate in the ways in which WVBR communicates with and updates the community.
What’s up y’all! Academics-wise, I’m a sophomore from Westchester, NY in the College of Arts and Sciences and currently have no major, but I am planning on having a minor in Spanish. Sports-wise, since that’s what I’m doing in CMG, I played baseball for 15 years, ran XC competitively for 5, and have dabbled in pretty much every other sport I could get my hands on, including hacky sack and juggling if you count them. I’m also a die-hard Mets fan and would run off of a cliff of pretty much any height for them. Otherwise, in my free time, I love writing and performing stand-up comedy. I’m looking forward to having an absolutely killer year in the sports department!
