Kyle Persaud is from Long Island, New York and is a sophomore at Cornell University majoring in Government and minoring in business and communications. In addition to his studies, Kyle is an extremely active member on Cornell University’s campus. Kyle has sat on several university committees, including Cornell University’s infrastructure Fund Commission, as well as the Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Moreover, he is an executive board member of a minority pre-professional society on campus that is dedicated to providing professional training and resources to minority students interested in pursuing a career in law and business. In accordance with these activities, Kyle is also founder of his own non-profit organization KB Operation Hope, which provides medical and educational necessities to international poverty-stricken children. For his professional aspirations, Kyle hopes to potentially use his current studies to prepare him to become a political and economical analyst with his own show on CNN. Kyle hopes that “Politics on the First Date” will invite listeners to look more into their own identities and political beliefs and see how their perspectives fit in with the world around them in an inclusive environment.
