Regarding Student Arrest
We are aware of the arrest of a Cornell student who volunteers as a DJ at WVBR. Our thoughts are with everyone in the Cornell and Syracuse communities affected by this situation.
As this is an active investigation, we will defer to law enforcement and Cornell University for further information and will not be commenting further at this time.

Phil Shapiro
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Phil Shapiro. His folk concert show, Bound for Glory, the longest running folk radio show in North America, is a cornerstone for folk lovers and WVBR listeners alike.
Our students will value his commitment to WVBR and work to honor his legacy for years to come.
