Schuyler County

July 5: The Watkins Glen Friday on Franklin and Fireworks Show will be held from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Friday on Franklin begins at the chamber on 214 N. Franklin St. Attendees will receive a tasting glass, wrist band, and map of stops to taste local wine and food. Admission is $5, participants must be 21 or older.

Seneca County

July 6: The family-friendly 4th of July BBQ Birthday Bash at Americana Winery in Interlaken features food, drink and music from 12 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., with a fireworks finale at 10 p.m. Admission for adults is $5, with children under 13 admitted free. The following acts will play throughout the day: 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The Uncommons; 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Backtalk Band; 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. NEO Project; 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. City Limits; 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Iron Horse. Tioga County

June 30-July 7: Candor’s celebrations run from June 30 through July 7.

On July 4, there will be a “The Best of Candor - Past, Present and Future”-themed parade at 10 a.m. beginning at Church Street. The parade will be followed by the American Legion Auxiliary chicken barbecue ($10 per dinner) at 11 a.m., Music Jam 2019 at 11:30 a.m. and Wheelock Rides - Carnival at noon. The carnival continues July 5-6. 

Fireworks will be at dusk on July 5, with a rain date scheduled for July 6.

July 3: The Kirby Band's concert in Hickories Park in Owego at 7:30 p.m. will end with fireworks. Lawn chairs and a picnic are recommended. For more information, visit kirbyband.com.

July 6: See fireworks at Tioga Downs Casino in Nichols after the final harness race of the night.

Tompkins County

July 3: The Ithaca Rotary Community Fireworks Display will be held at 9:45 p.m. The fireworks show will launch from the Newman Municipal Golf Course, with prime viewing locations are at Stewart and Cass Parks. 

At Stewart Park, there will be food and beverage vendors, music from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Music will be provided by The Smoking Loons. The rain date for the event is July 5. For more information, visit ithacafireworks.org.

July 5: Myers Park in Lansing hosts fireworks starting at 9:30 p.m. For more information, visit lansingrec.com.

July 5: Groton Elementary School is the site for the Groton Community Fireworks, sponsored by the Groton Fire Department. The event begins at 7:30 p.m. and will include music and concessions. Fireworks begin at dusk.

July 7: The Inn at Taughannock will host its Fourth Annual Independence Day Celebration from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. The event will include fireworks, food, drinks and cotton candy.
