Writer: WVBR NewsWVBR News

Over sixty attorneys have endorsed Mark Masler of Cortland in this year's election for State Supreme Court Justice in the Sixth Judicial District, which includes Tompkins County. The attorneys signed a statement acknowledging Masler's work as an attorney in the community and enthusiastically support his candidacy.

Masler graduated from Cornell Law in 1993 and has served as Attorney and Law Clerk to Supreme Court Justice Phillip R. Rumsey for the past 11 years, writing over 900 decisions.

The attorneys continue, "Most importantly, Mark has always treated everyone with fairness, dignity and respect. Mark has earned our support by demonstrating that he has the temperament, intelligence, experience, and judgement necessary to be a highly effective and fair Supreme Court Justice."

Beyond the courtroom, Masler has experience with dairy farming, agricultural banking, the Homer Central School Board, and other community leadership roles.

The Sixth Judicial District encompasses all of Broome, Chemung, Chenango, Cortland, Delaware, Madison, Otsego, Schuyler, Tioga, and Tompkins Counties. Masler will appear as a candidate on the November 5 ballot.
