ITHACA— Tompkins County Public Library invites members of the community ages 16+ to its Makerspace for a tutorial on the basics of 3-D printing at 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, August 20. Participants will learn how TCPL’s 3-D printers work, how to acquire the computer files needed to use the printers, and how to prepare designs for printing. The first part of the session will be in the Makerspace and in the second part the tutorial will move to the Digital Lab. Please note that there will not be time allotted to work on personal projects during this time. Registration is required for this free program designed for people ages 16 and over. Visit https://www.tcpl.org/events/3-d-printing-tutorial-session-0 to register. Registrants are expected to be experienced with using the basic tools of the Windows operating system, using a keyboard and mouse, and accessing, saving, and importing files.
