ITHACA—Zee Zahava will lead a writing workshop on Monday, November 4 from 10:00 am to noon, in the Tompkins Trust Company Study Room at Tompkins County Public Library. This workshop offers participants the opportunity to explore the place where their story began: their Homeplace. At the workshop, participants will write and share memories and reflections about the place (or places) where they grew up; they may consider homeplace more broadly, as in city or hometown, or specifically, as in neighborhood or home. Participants will receive creative prompts, write, and then they will have the opportunity to share what they’ve written. This workshop offers a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for beginning as well as experienced writers. Zee Zahava was the Tompkins County Poet Laureate in 2017 and 2018. She has been offering writing workshops in Ithaca, for adults and teens, since 1994. To learn more, go to: www.zeezahava.blogspot.com/. This program is free and open to the public but space is limited, and advance registration is required. Register online atwww.tcpl.org/events/homeplace-creative-writing-workshop-led-zee-zahava.
