TCPL Patrons Can Now Borrow Passes to Receive Free Tickets for Productions at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca

ITHACA— The Hangar Theatre Company has partnered with Tompkins County Public Library to provide patrons access to theatre events with a special pass they can check out with their library card.

Beginning in early August, TCPL will have one Hangar pass that patrons can check out for a week. During that week, patrons can bring the pass and their library card with them to the Theatre and receive up to four tickets for any show occurring during that week, provided tickets are still available.

“The Hangar Theatre Company is committed to an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. We believe that like TCPL, the theatre is for everyone, and want to provide the community opportunities to experience live theatre and arts education, regardless of cost or other barriers,” says Thena Gitlin, Hangar Theatre Marketing Director.

The Hangar pass is the latest addition to TCPL’s Library of Things, a collection of non-traditional items that can be borrowed by patrons for use both inside the library and out in the community. Please contact TCPL’s Access and Circulation Department at 607-272-4557 ext. 269 with any questions regarding this new service.
