ITHACA—Tompkins County Public Library is pleased to offer a workshop on how to create PDF documents in Adobe Acrobat, Thursday, October 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, in the Library’s Digital Lab. Graphic designer Annie Aldag will lead this workshop, where participants will learn the basics of creating PDF documents with Adobe Acrobat. Participants will learn to edit PDF documents, convert files to and from PDF, fill and sign forms, and the basics of many other tools the software offers. Participants are expected to be experienced with using the basic tools of the Mac operating system X; using a keyboard and mouse; and accessing, importing, and saving files. NO REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, but class size is limited. The first four patrons to arrive will be able to participate using the Library’s MacBook Pro computers. Others who have the appropriate software on their own personal device are also welcome to participate. Entry into the Digital Lab will not be permitted once the workshop has begun. For more information, or to inquire about accommodations for full and comfortable participant engagement, contact Information and Learning Services at 607 272-4557, extension 260, or email the Digital Librarian Tom at tfredette@tcpl.org.
