Both the Tompkins County DEPARTMENT OF RECYCLING & MATERIALS MANAGEMENT and the RECYCLING & SOLID WASTE CENTER will be closed on Wednesday, December 25th in observance of Christmas Day, and on Wednesday, January 1st, 2020 for New Year’s Day.
There will be no curbside recycling collection on either Wednesday, December 25th or Wednesday, January 1st.
Recycling collection will take place one day late for the remainder of each holiday week. That means if your regularly scheduled collection day is Wednesday, recycling will be picked up on Thursday; regular Thursday collection will be done on Friday; and so forth.
