Jordan D. Gremli

Jordan D. Gremli

Jordan Gremli '08 is Head of Content and Artist Programming at Sofar Sounds. In this role, he works with artists across Sofar's global concert network to help develop their careers through video and audio content. Before Sofar, Jordan spent eight years at Spotify as Head of Artist & Fan Development, managing a team responsible for building programs and tools that help artists build their audiences by connecting them with the right fans throughout every step of the artist development process. Prior to Spotify, Jordan spent four years as Program Director at SiriusXM Satellite Radio, where he oversaw four rock-based music channels. He graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor's Degree in Atmospheric Science, but spent most of his time as an undergraduate at WVBR, serving as General Manager and Program Director. He has been on the board since 2008 and has been Chair since 2017. In addition to serving as Chair, he leads the Sales and Business Strategy committee and is a member of the Music Programming and Cornell Radio & Electric Buffalo Records committees.

Specialties: Business Development, Sales, Sales Management P+L management of early stage companies and turnarounds. I source and develop opportunities for small companies looking to grow. My original background is media and includes custom Hardware/Software solutions, publishing and non-traditional advertising.

Michael Beyman

Board Member

Mike Beyman is the Senior Director of Strategy and Operations for Conde Nast Entertainment where he leads development of long range planning, strategic opportunity development, IP monetization, and operational improvement for Conde Nast's digital video, audio, television and film production team. Previously, Mike was a consultant with McKinsey and Company, where he primarily focused on Media transformation and innovation. Earlier in his career, he was a Field Producer for CNBC Business News, producing award winning documentaries on topics of economic interest. Mike re-joined the board in 2020 after serving from 2011-2017. While at WVBR, he was News Director, overseeing weekend talk programming and the station’s outreach to the Cornell and Ithaca Community. He received his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2017 and a BA in Economics from Cornell University in 2010.

Eric Blumberg

Eric Blumberg is a civil/geotechnical engineer at GeoDesign, Inc. In his role as Project Engineer, he is responsible for leading soil investigations, design, and construction oversight for various underground structures, including retaining walls and building foundations. Eric graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 2014 and received his M.Eng. in 2015. During his time at WVBR, he held various roles including weekly DJ, Chief Operator, and two years as Program Director. He has served on the Board since 2018, focusing his efforts primarily on the Music Programming committee, which he leads.

Mark Dembo

Mark Dembo is Regional Director for Corporate Programs with Cornell University’s External Education unit. In this role, he is responsible for bringing the thought-leadership, research, and teaching of Cornell faculty into the corporate world. He oversees a team of business development professionals and relationship managers who work with organizations to help them ensure their employees have the skills and capabilities to succeed in today’s ever-changing world. Prior to Cornell, Mark was Senior Vice President/Talent Development Director with Lee Hecht Harrison, and earlier was Regional Sales Director for Development Dimensions International. Mark started his career following in his ‘VBR footsteps, working for a number of NYC based radio stations and learning the national ad scene at Katz Radio. Mark graduated from Cornell in 1986 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations but truly got the most learning from his time as General Manager and Sales Manager at WVBR. In addition to his work with CMG, Mark serves on the board of the Cornell ILR Alumni Association and is the Chair of the Bedford (NY) Democratic Committee. Mark joined the CMG board in May of 2020 and serves as the Chair of the Management/Organization Committee.

​Corey Ryan Earle works in Alumni Affairs and Development at Cornell University where he provides personalized cultivation and high-impact stewardship to advance relationships for a portfolio of the university's most dedicated and generous alumni, parents, and friends. He is also a visiting lecturer in the American Studies Program, having taught a course on Cornell University history since 2011 and serving as unofficial university historian. Corey graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor's degree in Communication in 2007 and from Teachers College, Columbia University with a master's degree in Higher Education in 2017. For WVBR, he served as the faculty advisor from 2011 to 2016 and joined the board of directors in 2015. On the board, Corey chairs the Alumni Relations Committee and collaborates with the Board Development Committee.

Recently retired, Larry teaches part-time at Drexel University, serves on three non-profit boards (including this one!) and guest lectures at Cornell and elsewhere on the media business. He spent the last 17 years at Drexel University as a teacher and administrator in the fields of media and arts management and entrepreneurship.
Prior to that, Larry spent 25 years in the media industry, including 15 years at ViacomCBS, in a variety of roles in local and network television, followed by five years as CFO of Primestar Partners and five years as CFO of Princeton Video Image. Larry graduated from Cornell University in 1976 with a BS in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research and 1978 with an MBA, Marketing & Finance. In his time at the station, he served as DJ, newsperson, AM Program Director, and President/GM. On the board, Larry chairs the Financial Planning & Advisory Committee and serves on the Tower Rental Subcommittee and Alumni Relations Committee.

Board Member

Eugene Karlik has spent the last few years as a startup lawyer in New York City, where he helps startups in a variety of industries (software, biotech, media, consumer, etc) face their everyday needs on issues such as VC financings, governance, formation, employment, and IP. In this role, he serves as both a legal advisor and business advisor, spending all day in the trenches of the tech, startup, and venture world. Eugene is a 2010 graduate of the School of Industrial and Labor Relations and received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. While at WVBR, he served as a DJ/sportscaster and Sports Director. Eugene has served on the board of directors since 2020, advising and guiding WVBR through a rapidly-changing tech and media environment and to act as a mentor to students looking for careers related to tech, entrepreneurship and/or law. He serves on the Management/Organization and Talk Programming committees.

Lauren Marie Kehe

Lauren Marie Kehe has spent fifteen years working and studying how people use media to connect with their family, friends, favorite IP and businesses, most recently as the NA Emerging Platforms Lead on Facebook's Global Business Marketing team. In this role, Lauren creates marketing programs that showcase how marketers can reduce friction and drive business outcomes by connecting with their customers via Facebook’s platforms and tools. Prior to joining Facebook, Lauren worked at entertainment companies — NBCUniversal, Pivot TV, and Viacom — creating compelling co-marketing campaigns for brands based in consumer insights and platform innovation. Lauren is a graduate of the Communication Program in Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and earned her MA in Media, Culture and Communication from New York University. During her tenure at WVBR, Lauren was the Vice President of Staff and Facilities, Vice President of Training, and Promotions Director. A member of the board of directors since 2017, Lauren leads the Marketing, Content & Promotions committee.

Kristi Krulcik

Kristi Krulcik is currently the Global Marketing Lead for Kids Space and Family Link at Google. In this role, Kristi leads product marketing efforts to promote Google’s hero products for families. These products especially center around helping families manage their child’s experience with technology, with helpful parental controls and features that make it easier to find quality content. Prior to Google, Kristi worked at Apple, curating music album covers for retail, events, and more. She also supported the iOS Partnerships team and their efforts to drive innovation with app developers. Kristi received her bachelors degree in Communication (focus on Information Technologies) from Cornell's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences in 2016. During her time at WVBR, she served as Director & Re-Launch Manager of CornellRadio.com. Kristi has been a member of the board since 2017, serving as the committee lead for new businesses - Electric Buffalo Records & CornellRadio.com.

Lara Mosby

Lara Mosby serves as the Community Engagement Manager for Symphoria, the orchestra of Central New York. Prior to returning to upstate New York, Lara served as Assistant Operations Manager for Forever Media's seven-station radio station cluster in Johnstown, PA, overseeing programming staff, station websites and social media, EEO compliance, and project management. She has worked for an AIDS prevention non-profit, a book publisher, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, but most of her professional career has been spent in the radio industry. Lara worked her way up from hosting evenings to middays, afternoons and mornings, to music director, and then to program director of Pennsylvania's 2nd largest FM signal, WFGI, overseeing brand management, imaging, and staff development in addition to online presence and promotions. Lara has a master's degree in Television-Radio-Film from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School and a bachelor's degree in English from Cornell ('91). Lara has been on the Cornell Media Guild board of directors since 2020 and serves on the Programming Committee.
