At the end of the second period, BU still leads Cornell 1-0.
Despite the same score, the Big Red played much better in the second. The shots on goal in the period pulled a complete 180, with Cornell having 11 shots on goal, while BU only put 6 shots on goal. The offense was much more aggressive (see shots on goal) and the defense was much more stingy. Cornell's aggressiveness led to many more opportunities, but they were unable to convert on any of them due to a combination of great goalkeeping by BU's Kieran Millan and shots going wide of the net. If the Big Red just keep doing what they were doing last period, a shot will eventually find the back of the net. Aggressive offense is the only way to win this game.
