The Cornell Daily Sun has reported that the body of Cornell student Khalil King was recovered from the Fall Creek gorge near the 800 block of Stewart Avenue. The student, a sophomore, was reportedly walking with a friend near the "Fiji" fraternity house at 3 A.M. Saturday morning when he ran West after seeing something that alarmed him. King was reported missing at 8:05 P.M. on Saturday.
King's body was recovered with the aid of a K9 unit by the Ithaca Police Department shortly after he was reported missing. Ithaca PD has stated that no foul play is suspected at this time, but an investigation will be conducted nonetheless. Cornell Director of Press Relations Claudia Wheatley has stated that a memorial service will be held for King after consultation with his family.
