The Ithaca Police Department is investigating an accident in which two teenaged girls were injured. A van being operated by a 48-year old man was headed south on North Cayuga Street, and while turning onto East Lincoln Street struck two Ithaca High School students in the crosswalk. One of the teens was transported to Cayuga Medical Center to treat an injury to her arm and elbow and the other teen was airlifted to Arnot Ogden Hospital in Elmira for multiple injuries. The driver of the van was ticketed for failing to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk.
