Barack Obama is starting to take heat for unemployment as Republicans are beginning to question whether he is creating jobs or not.
President Obama preached patience with the economy Thursday as Republicans hammered him over another dismal unemployment report out Thursday.
Speaking in front of several CEOs whose tech firms are actually growing, Obama cast the loss of 467,000 jobs in June as a sign of progress - saying it's better than the 700,000 jobs a month the nation had been dropping.
"We've taken some extraordinary measures to blunt the hard edges of the worst recession of our lifetime," Obama said, arguing his steps were working, but would take time.
"As I've said from the moment that I walked into the door of this White House, it took years for us to get into this mess, and it will take us more than a few months to turn it around," he said.
