Dryden Tower Approved
Last night, the Dryden Town Board finally approved a special permit for Verizon to build a 114 foot telecommunications tower. The discussions took four months, and now the tower will be right off of Hanshaw Road. The session last night took two hours and was not attended by any of the neighbors that had been a strong presence at previous discussions and cited environmental and aesthetic concerns. Verizon said the tower is needed to be built because of an increase in traffic and use in the area. Construction is expected to start within the next few months.
