Police have arrested two men and confiscated two semi-automatic AK-47 assault rifles following a nearly three-month long investigation.
Jeremey Truesdail, 25, and Allester L. Forest, 21, of Groton are each charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, said Groton Police Sgt. Scott Ferris.
About 35 to 40 law-enforcement personnel from several agencies, including Onondaga County Sheriff's deputies in an armored personnel carrier, took part in the arrest at about 6 a.m. Saturday.
Truesdail and Forest had posted videos on YouTube depicting the weapons and ammunition and made racial comments and threats to the community and police on the videos, Ferris said.
Truesdail and Forest were arraigned in Groton Town Court and sent to Tompkins County Jail on $25,000 bail.
