Weather permitting, the City of Ithaca Department of Public Works will begin its annual street cleaning program in the East Hill and Collegetown area on Monday, March 16, 2009. Students leaving for Spring Break should not leave vehicles parked on the street without making arrangements for them to be moved daily. Streets will be posted as “No Parking Zones” 24-hours in advance of the cleaning. Vehicles that remain on the street after the posted time will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. Students in need of long-term parking can contact private facilities or the Cayuga Street Parking Garage at (607) 256-7275 to inquire about availability.
