Yesterday, just before 4 PM, a robbery occurred that took place on the 500 block of Chestnut Street. Ithaca Police Department swiftly responded.

To quote from the police report:

"The victim reports being approached by two male subjects who inquire about his electronic devices.  They gain possession of said items and refuse to return them. When the victim tries to regain possession of his property he was physically attacked. During that attack one of the suspects brandished a knife. A person fitting the description of one of the suspects was located by responding police officers and detained.  The victim positively identified the suspect who is a juvenile.  The victim sustained minor injuries. Charges are pending."
