WVBR is committed to supporting and promoting the prominent local music scene in Ithaca and all around Central New York. We are one of the only radio stations in Ithaca to play music from local artists in our regular music rotation during the week. Our weekend specialty programming also promotes local artists from a wide range of genres and backgrounds.
Plus, every Tuesday afternoon at 6:00, we bring you Tuesdays With The Band, each week featuring a live interview with a local act and, more often than not, a live performance in the studio. A selection of local music starts at 6, and Dan Cole comes on with the band at 6:15.
