Jimi Hendrix, what a great artist.
Having just played Purple Haze, I can't even envision what it
must have been like to have been one of those lucky people who got
to experience the real Woodstock, not the cheap imitiations they
have in upstate New York every few years... But the real Woodstock
that had Jimi Hendrix as an artist playing.
Like I
mentioned on the air, because the schedule was so disorganized for
this first iteration of Woodstock, they had artists playing at all
times of the night... My point is, people nowadays wake up to the
awesome sounds of Hendrix in the morning either on the radio or
from cd's or what not. But can you imagine it? Waking up to the
real deal, before Jimi was known as Jimi? Probably one of the most
prolific experiences ever. Just imagine waking up early in the
morning, the sun rising, sleeping off/that hangover or whatever
else was being slept off at Woodstock in the 60's, to Hendrix
blasting his amazing guitar riffs and his great songs like Purple
Haze and what not...
Quite a sight I must
think...
Be the first!
