Great bands of course create great music. But what makes a great band? This question will be answered differently by every person you ask because of personal opinions and preferences. That's fine by me and you deserve the right to like or hate any band you choose, just as long as you hate Billy Ray Cyrus too.

If you asked me what makes a great band I would answer one that builds on the entire group's talent creating perfect harmony and music that climaxes. This is easier said than done because not every group has the ability to blend their instrumental sounds to create that special happy feeling is your stomach.
The good news is that music is here to stay and new bands surface from their dead-end 9 to 5 jobs daily. The most recent to enter my radar is a band that has perfected the “climax song.” Each note builds on the previous; as seconds pass passion and aggression intensify, until that very moment the song explodes into pure musical ecstasy. We Were Promised Jetpacks is a Scottish group that creates lyrical masterpieces that will make your eardrums smile. Every song incorporates numerous transitions and of course the almighty “song climax.”
The band was signed to Fat Cat Records; yes the same label of NOFX. Their debut album, These Four Walls, was released June 15, 2009. Each song slightly unique from the last, providing just over an hour of musical pleasure. So take off your underwear and slap on your kilt because this is the official uniform you will need to fully enjoy We Were Promised Jetpacks.
