Over the last few years, our leisure time has been taken over by YouTube and viral videos. How bad has it gotten? Well, Comedy Central created a television show completely dedicated to crazy people on the internet (Tosh 2.0). Fortunately, of the hundreds of thousands of videos put up each year, at least a hundred or two are pretty entertaining and some are just fantastic. Some will make you laugh, some will make you cry and some will make you scratch your head and say "What the heck!" YouTube videos also offer a way for uniquely-talented "musicians" to show themselves off and hopefully achieve 15 minutes of fame. Here are my best three favorite music-related viral videos from 2009:
'''3) Ghost Busters Multirack''' - This guy brings a whole new meaning to "break out the air guitar" as he also breaks out the air -bass, -keys, and -drums. Taken from the same vein as Wayne's World's rendition of ''Queen's'' "Bohemian Rhapsody", this one guy sets out to show the world how fun his favorite movie theme can be.
'''2) Amazing Beatbox Kid''' - Forget air guitar - this guy proves you don't have to play any instruments to have talent. Last year, a similar video was put up on youtube of a young, German boy showing the world his skill, but I promise you this guy is even better.
'''1) Amazing Dance Caught on Celtics Jumbotron''' - I give my partner, Pete, a tough time a lot for being from Boston, but maybe this guy is actually originally from Jersey. Forget making any actual noise, this is just amazing lip-syncing and dancing. Glad something good can from that city.
