All of us at WVBR are pulling for Rivers Cuomo, still hospitalized after a bus crash yesterday morning as the band headed east on I-90 for tonight's show at Boston University. The show tonight at BU's Agganis Arena, as well as shows at the Patriot Center in Washington and Camden's Susquehanna Bank Center later this week, have been cancelled. Rolling Stone has details on the crash, which happened when the bus skidded on an icy patch of New York State Thruway early yesterday morning. Cuomo suffered three cracked ribs, "painful internal damage," and a lower leg injury. Band assistant Sarah Kim fractured a lower vertebra and two ribs. Luckily, the bus's other passengers, Cuomo's wife and young daughter and their nanny, along with the driver, weren't hurt. Weezer tells us in a blog post last night that those December dates will be rescheduled when they can be, and that ticket or refund info will be made available. No word yet on January shows; the tour was to pick up again in San Francisco on January 9th.
