This Little Girl - Gary "U.S." Bonds (4/81; #11 Pop - Bruce revived Bonds' career by writing and cutting this record with him)

(She's Got) The Fever - Pointer Sisters (1978 - from their album "Priority." Southside Johnny had cut the definitive version)

* Because The Night - Patti Smith (4/78; #13 Pop - co-written by Patti & Bruce, requested by a listener in Vancouver)

Sandy (Fourth of July) - Hollies (4/75; #85 - Allan Clarke was an early fan, and was the first to release "Born To Run" as a single!)

For You - Manfred Mann (10/80 - one of three Springsteen tunes cut by the Earth Band.)

Fire - Robert Gordon (1978 - The Pointer Sisters had the hit, but word has it that Bruce wrote it for this guy)

Atlantic City - The Band (1993 - the original was from Bruce's "Nebraska" LP. These guys released it as a single.)

Love On The Wrong Side Of Town - Southside Johnny & Asbury Jukes (1980 - Springsteen sidekick with horns!)

* Fire - Pointer Sisters (2/79; #2 Pop - two callers wanted to hear this version.The consensus is that this is the best version)

Club Soul City - Gary "U.S." Bonds & Chuck Jackson (1981 - two of Bruce's idols, reunited by their disciple)

Baby Please Don't Go - Ronnie Spector (1977 - from an aborted single produced by Steven Van Zandt and featuring the E Street Band)

* All That Heaven Will Allow - Mavericks (1994 - cool cover a tune from Bruce's "Tunnel Of Love" album)
